Here, we observe why school students sometimes face challenges and setbacks. In this environment, students may experienced subject fear, hopelessness, and demotivation, losing valuable time, and this could be a significant reason why some school students struggle to achieve their dreams. We acknowledge that as teachers, there is a lot we can do, but parents also play a crucial role in providing motivation, freedom, and support to their school-going children.
Fear in Subject:-
Many school students perform well in the 7th class, but when it comes to the 8th standard, students often experienced fear. In the initial three months, they study diligently, feeling like well. However, as the second unit exam period approaches, fear sets in, primarily due to the sheer volume of subjects and their complexities.
The only reason is a lack of proper time management and knowledge of subject schedules. In such a situation, students focus more on the fearless subject but unknowingly ignore the fearful subjects. In some cases, they focus on byhearting to the subjects. However, byheart is not effective. Therefore, if we understand the subject in various ways and prepare it in our manner, the fear associated with the subject will disappear.
According to a survey conducted in 2022 in Thrissur, involving 200 school students, subjects such as mathematics, chemistry, Biology and physics were identified as challenging. Specifically, mathematics and physics proved difficult due to complex formulas that are challenging to comprehend. On the other hand, subjects like English and Malayalam did not pose issues in understanding.
The survey results suggest that one potential solution for students facing difficulties is to choose a tuition centre near them in Thrissur.
Losing valuable time:
In the teenage years, students lose valuable time. Yes, time is more precious than entertainment and money. This age group of students spends time on their mobile phones, playing games, spending in social media, and watching TV, etc.”
In detail, outdoor games are important, but they have limits. On the other hand, spending time on social media and playing smartphone games is entirely meaningless. This implies that students may lose interest in studying. The only reason is the parents; this is 100% true.
However, the remedy is to shift the mindset toward selecting the best same-aged friends in school or tuition. And spending more time with parents, and discussing with successful people. This can have a profound impact on the lives of school students.
Demotivation and hopelessness:
Fear is the primary challenge among school students, and demotivation follows as the secondary hurdle. When teenagers feel demotivated, they have no idea how to set themselves back, leading to significant setbacks.
Fear and demotivation have a strong impact on various aspects of their lives, including studies. Therefore, choosing the best environment, along with access to tuition and supportive friends, can greatly facilitate the recovery from these challenges.
